This position will require multiple steps to reach the interview. It will be highly selective. You must know about cannabis on a scientific level, be passionate about the cannabis plant and want to learn everything about cannabis.
You will be sent an email sometime around 10/1/2025 with your first set of questions regarding your knowledge of everything cannabis related.
You will be tested. Please only apply if you are interested in becoming a cannabis professional that wants to rise in the cannabis industry. You must be able to speak about cannabis at a scientific level.
This will be a group interview. You will be asked questions in a group setting and asked to show how you would respond and perform with customers asking very specific cannabis questions.

Carters Cannabis is now open 8am to 11pm! We're on the hunt for 2 weed nerd, cannabis scientist budtenders. We have a team of excellent budtenders on our team currently, but we are looking for a couple more very special people that have a true passion for cannabis and communication.
Must have an extensive knowledge of cannabinoids, terpenes, methods of ingestion, flavonoids, the entourage effect, the difference between edibles made from distillate or cannabis butter and more.
You will be tested on your cannabis knowledge before and during the interview.
We are looking for two exceptional cannabis lovers that enjoy talking about cannabis and have retail customer service experience.
Standard budtending duties; including inventory management, store upkeep, and understanding & enforcing cannabis regulations are key to our team's harmony.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service, guiding clients through our cannabis offerings
- Design visually appealing chalkboard signage to showcase products and promotions
- Contribute to our online presence by writing engaging blog posts for the company website
- Manage inventory, process sales, and maintain a clean store environment
- Help educate the consumer and the industry about products and relay accurate information.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals and foster a supportive, entrepreneurial mindset
Must Have
- Age Requirement: 21+ years of age
- Business Acumen: Understanding of sales principles and business operations
- Computer Skills: Basic operation and understanding of computers/software
- Communication & Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service as well as verbal and written communication skills; good handwriting a plus
- Cannabis Knowledge: Passion for cannabis, extensive cannabis knowledge and a desire to learn and grow with our team
- Social Media Savviness: Must display knowledge of most-used Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, etc.)
Preferred to have
- Prior budtending experience (eligible for $18/hr starting wage)
- Proven sales track record
- Experience with creative writing or design
- A drive to grow and build a brand or business of your own.
