Carter's Cannabis is looking to add a part-time budtender to our team here in East Wenatchee. We're a local, community-focused dispensary serving the Wenatchee Valley — Chelan, Entiat, Cashmere, Leavenworth, Rock Island, and beyond — and we're looking for someone who genuinely loves this industry and wants to grow with us.
This part-time position is a foot in the door. We start everyone with a 90-day trial period so both you and we can see if it's a good fit before talking about anything long-term. Pay starts at Washington state minimum wage during this trial period. We'll train you on everything you need to know on the job — but you've got to show up with real passion for cannabis and a willingness to learn.
What we're looking for:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- ID checking experience required — we're a 21-and-up establishment and take compliance seriously
- Must be comfortable reviewing product samples as part of learning our menu
- Legible, neat handwriting required — you'll be hand-lettering our daily specials and menu boards, so this is a must
- Customer service experience preferred
- Spanish language skills are a plus — we serve a diverse community and value staff who can connect with all our customers
- A genuine passion for cannabis and eagerness to keep learning about products, strains, and trends
- Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand/work 6–7 hour shifts
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to pass a background check
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
What you'll be doing:
- Greeting and helping customers find what they're looking for
- Checking IDs and handling cash accurately
- Learning our products inside and out, including WSLCB regulations
- Hand-lettering chalkboard specials and keeping menu displays updated and eye-catching
- Restocking, labeling, and keeping displays looking sharp
- Helping keep the store clean and welcoming, inside and out
- Bringing a good attitude and staying compliant every shift
Pay: Washington state minimum wage to start (90-day trial), plus tips
