ID Checker / Budtender / Product Tester (Reviewing Resumes 10/1, Group Interview)

This position will require multiple steps to reach the interview. It will be highly selective. You must know about cannabis on a scientific level, be passionate about the cannabis plant and want to learn everything about cannabis. 

You will be sent an email sometime around 10/1/2025 with your first set of questions regarding your knowledge of everything cannabis related.

We are only looking to fill six positions and we have over 100 applications so far. You will be tested. Please only apply if you are interested in becoming a cannabis professional that wants to rise in the cannabis industry. You must be able to speak about cannabis at a scientific level. 

This will be a group interview. You will be asked questions in a group setting and asked to show how you would respond and perform with customers asking very specific cannabis questions.

Carter's Cannabis is looking for six or more passionate cannabis professionals looking to climb the ladder in the cannabis industry. This is your starting point to a position as a cannabis industry influencer, budtender, manager, cannabis consultant, industry leader, or to own your own state regulated cannabis business.

Carter's cannabis is heavily focused on education and will only keep the most passionate cannabis professionals on staff. We train leaders in the industry to grow and take on leadership roles within our company as well as to climb into new exciting positions outside of our own company. This is the beginning of your rise in the cannabis industry. We will hire from within for most  management and leadership positions. New full time budtenders will usually come from a starting position as a part time ID Checker.

The ID checker will work one four hour shift, one day every two weeks. That equates to eight hours a month. This is a position that will overlap with your current job and has the possibility of opening up into full time hours depending on our need and the level of passion, drive, customer service skills, communication and the amount of education you have displayed while working part time. 

You will receive samples with every shift you work and you will be required to provide feedback on the samples you receive. You will help us decide whether to carry products, or drop them.

We only bring on budtenders with extensive cannabis knowledge who are extremely passionate about the plant and the properties of the plant that deliver benefits to the consumers. You must know your terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids, the entourage effect and how all of the these chemical compounds that are found in the cannabis plant work together. You will need to study and learn all of the strains we carry and their lineage. And you must be able to communicate them to the consumer quickly and with enthusiasm. Which means you need to know your stuff without having to look it up on your phone while with a customer.

The owner is very involved in the cannabis community worldwide and has been a passionate cannabis activist and advocate for legalization for more than thirty years. You will be working for one of the leading teams in the state that care about cannabis culture and the cannabis community as a whole. Including medical marijuana and the leaders who helped build this industry before legalization, who still fight for change. Our team will contribute to the efforts of those leaders and assist in that change.

Which includes bringing the culture back and making cannabis fun again. You will be part of that.
